Habakkuk2vs2: I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.2 And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
In the book of Daniel, is an interesting story on the development of Daniels’ Prayer. It follows that a revelation on his part was due. As to an answer. There was however a twenty-one day gap unintended by the giver. The recipient Daniel was in continuous meditation, waiting for this Glorious moment. What we are presented with is a question of true purpose/vision versus delayed answer.
I am drawn so very strongly to the book of Luke where one of the most remarkable encounters between angels and man is recorded. Luke 1:19“And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.” This the account, The Angel Gabriel and Zechariah. I would love for you to remember the words Gabriel spoke“l stand in the presence of GOD” , He said.
The Temple, Bodies and other Visions
The Temple in the old days was a representation of Gods Temple in Heaven. It was constructed such as unto Gods’ requirements and The Ark for the representation of his presence. It was the High Priests’ duty to go in once a year, presenting himself before GOD while the ritual was performed. I asked myself why God would wait for Zechariah to enter the Holy of Holies and meet him there. He could have not done it anywhere surely? Certainly in the old testament Angels met people in fields, by the wayside, at home, even in dreams and the like.
It is then l belive the intended purpose of this visit, which marks a revelatory transformation. In the Holy of Holies was Gods’ presence in his Temple in Heaven. Such was the case for the earth where the Ark of the covenant lay. The Angel Gabriel then descends from Gods’ Presence in Heaven to earth where Zechariah was. Gabriel who stood in the presence of God in Heaven had descended to Earth, (in Gods Holy temple). This symbolic in that Heaven the true Temple where he stood in Gods presence, came down to the Earthly Temple where The Ark Hosted Gods presence.
The Temple of GOD which then became man and his body host the Spirit Of God. That at least solves the great mystery, as to why we pray “THY Kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven”. Remember your body is the temple, and therein lies the Holy Spirit. Gods presence ever in you.
Daniel then had no baby on the way, no child to be born of the Spirit. Through righteousness and prayer, the Presence of God was on its way to his room. I begin to understand that the enemy was agitated because his intent is never that we meet heaven on earth, nor experience the glory of angels. Seeing the Traffic from Heaven moving ever so gloriously toward earth, he (Satan) sent the Prince of Persia to resist The Angel Gabriel.
Gabriel’s Plight becomes that of delivering visions and purpose to the child of God. Daniels’ hunger beget a fervent prayer that had the duration of 21 days. For the fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
I am strongly convinced now that a righteous man has more against him than he does for him. It is in being reminded that Daniel was not aware of his foe, the Prince of Persia that he travailed in prayer.Dan 10:13 “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.” It is in understanding that we acknowledge Gabriel was not defeated but withstood. The comfort is in knowing that though the enemy resisted, he neither could take the vision away from Gabriel nor stop him forever.
At one time the apostle Paul had this to say: 1 Thessalonians 2 : 18 Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.
Daniels’ vision was eternal and it became manifest in time. And such are the gifts of God though eternal and Divine , to the prayerful and righteous they became manifest in time. There is ongoing fight against Purpose and Vision and such is Gabriel’s plight.
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
